The Statistics Graduate Student Association (SGSA) is an organization designed to represent the concerns and interests of graduate students in the department. We act as a liaison between our students and both the department’s faculty and the larger Graduate Student Government. We aim to improve the UCLA Statistics graduate student experience by advocating on behalf of our students and promoting social, professional, and academic activities. We coordinate events to foster a sense of inclusive community within our department and to bridge connections to all departments in the physical sciences. To this end, we also represent our students’ interests on the Math and Physical Sciences Council (MPSC).
